Welcome to February
A new month is upon us! In this new month I'll be pretty busy with college and work, so won't have anywhere near the same time for dolls :(
In January I did make some progress on projects. I finished Myriad's green dress! I want to unpick and redo the closures, though. I rushed them and it's all rather messy.
This month has already had 1 success: Baron's head is finally attached! That damn cat is a hybrid [Fairyland head, Resinsoul body]. This was a major issue, due to his head not being compatible with the usual S-hook method.

I ended up making a little neck piece out of a pill bottle, ha! It's jury rigged for sure, but seems to be working.
Looking to the future, I have a few ideas of what I'd like to work on next. Things such as...
- Finishing Baron's corset
- A camera bag for Cheri
- Practicing faceups
- Creating at least 1 doll profile
I enjoy making corsets for my dolls. They aren't the most complicated of pieces, but I find them fun. It's become almost tradition to make a corset for each of my dolls, so I'd love to include Baron in that. I think he could rock a red and black one, perhaps with lots of lace and beading.
Doll bags and purses always impress me; they're so tiny! I want to try and make one of my own, specifically for Cheri's little plastic camera. I especially struggle with 3D crafts, so I think this could be a good exercise for my mind.
Only 2 of my dolls have faceups. Myriad, who has a company faceup, and an unnamed doll that I did myself. I'd love to practice and learn more, especially since I invested in pan pastels @_@.
I have a floating head that I haven't figured out a character for. This head might be my victim for practice. I think not having a character in mind will help ease the perfectionism; I won't be trying to capture a character's personality, just experimenting with a blank canvas.
As for doll profiles... well, they're still empty. I'd like to finally figure out coding the profile pages how I want.
My best hopes for your February!
